Red-necked Grebe chicks riding on parent

Three Red-necked Grebe (Podiceps grisegena) chicks riding on their mother's back, within a few weeks of birth, in Toronto. This behaviour is common in grebes, as they ride on their parent's backs to rest and to remain safe from predators such as turtles and fish.
